The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards were handed out last night in Los Angeles. It is an award show honoring music videos, which have not been aired on MTV in years.

Best Female Video goes to Nicki Minaj, "Starships"

One Direction won big at that night with 3 awards include Best Pop Video and Best New Artist
